Purpose Statement
The Financial Reporting Specialist will provide technical advice and assistance during reporting cycles, by focusing on understanding and solutioning the errors generated during the transactions processing, accounting related issues encountered during the month end activities which are impacting the quality of the reporting services, ensure quality and accurate completion of services and key performance indicators (KPIs), as defined in the Service Level Agreement (SLA).
Business / Operational Results:
• Ownership of financial statements, planning and reports.
• First point of contact for internal service teams within finance.
• Control accurate transactional data within SAP.
• Ensure SLAs reflect the agreed timings for customers to receive information.
• Serve as a SME to other Record-to-Report colleagues.
• Perform analytical review of different business scenarios in specific periods (i.e. Budget vs. QPR, SPLY vs. QPR).
• Assist General Accounting Team Leader as needed.
• Participate in or lead special projects that require creative and analytical skills.
Requirements:
Technical skills
• Desirable degree educated with professional accountancy qualification (i.e. CA / ACCA / CIMA / CPA) or in progress.
• At least 2-3 year of experience on SAP.
• At least 3 year of experience in Planning / Commercial finance / Accounting.
• MS PowerPoint – medium / advanced – be able to prepare presentations for management level.
• MS Office / Excel – Advanced.
• BPC / BI tool - at least 1 year of experience – Desirable.
Organizational skills
• Organize and prioritize work for self and team.
• Good planning skills and interpersonal skills so to effectively delegate tasks within own team.
• Ensure that the timelines are met, and be prepared to escalade issues, if identified.
• Proactively identify potential issues.
• Coordinate team projects.
• Understand impact of the results on the other departments and on the EM.
Communications skills
• Able to check understanding of things communicated / ensure the messages pass through to the audience.
• Able to make explanations about variances between financial exercises.
Customer services
• Maintain good relations with the customer and use diplomacy to solve issues.
• Maintain a positive attitude.
• Work constantly to find any improvement that help on Customer relationship; show pro-activeness in identifying issues and solutions.
• Assume and communicate reasonable deadlines to the customers for solving their issues.
• Be able to follow-up on the services delivered to a customer.
• Analyze customer issues and assess their impact.
Business and functional knowledge
• Have a good understanding of the business requirements, understand the platforms and analyze reports, identify issues and challenges within reports functionalities and data.
• Involve other relevant roles in problem solving processes, improving constant communication.

• Planning and reporting tasks are processed within SLA agreed with end markets.
• KPIs are met and differences are managed effectively.
• Issues are escalated in-line with relevant escalation process.
• Internal control programmed are consistently adhered to.
• Achieved customer satisfaction as per survey results received.
• Improvement initiatives implemented and efficiency improvements demonstrated.
• Training and development programmed in place for team members.
• Performance reviews carried out as per performance review cycle.
Working Relationships
Internal:
• Finance Business Partners & Specialist Finance Teams- collaborate to provide end to end finance delivery for regions / areas / end markets
• Finance Shared Services Centre (R2R teams)- collaborate closely with other FSSC to provide high quality, timely management information to the business.
External:
• End market – Request initiator;
• GSD – To resolve IT issues;
• Internal and External Auditors – On audit work.
