Our Solutions Architects team is seeking candidates located in San Jose, Costa Rica to join our AWS team, focused on customers from Caribbean and Central America, with a variety of skills to help shape and deliver on our cloud strategy for our global customers and partners. As a solutions architect, you will be on the front line of helping customers succeed using AWS technologies, linking technology with measurable business value for organizations ranging from start-ups to large, enterprise customers. You will be a trusted customer advocate, helping our partners understand advanced cloud-based solutions and how to migrate existing workloads to the cloud.

Key job responsibilities
- Help customers to adopt the right architecture at each part of their lifecycle
- Support in architecting scalable, reliable and secure solutions
- Enable the adoption of a broad range of AWS services to deliver business value and accelerate growth
- Support the evolution and roadmap of the AWS platform and services, connecting our engineering teams with our customers for feedback
- Develop technical content, such as blog posts, sample code and solutions, to assist customers solve technical problems and reduce time-to-market

Basic Qualifications

- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 5+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 8+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
- Ability to travel as needed
- Ability to communicate fluently in English and Spanish, in technical and business settings (verbal and written).

Preferred Qualifications

- 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
- Experience working with end user or developer communities
- Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering or Math
- AWS Solution Architecture certification or relevant expertise
