SUMMARY: Responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of the Warehouse department, including administrative and clerical functions, to ensure efficient operations and a safe working environment.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervise warehouse personnel to meet daily requirements which include managing activities related to receiving, labeling, loading, consolidation and storage of cargo. Schedule and monitor associate activities to ensure efficient and cost-effective shipping/receiving of customer freights. Responsible for general regulatory compliance, maintenance and upgrades to the warehouse. Routinely communicate with employees to ensure compliance with established warehouse productivity, safety, policies and procedures. Maintain all warehouse equipment and tooling as required to support warehouse operations. Propose improvements to warehouse operations and management system. Collaborate with other departments to ensure that operational service offering meets customers’ requirements. Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary.
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in business management or a related field; or a combination of post high school and equal experience may be substituted for education.

EXPERIENCE: 3+ years of warehouse supervisory experience, with emphasis in areas such as Logistics and Distribution Services.

TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook and Word.

COMPETENCIES: Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to effectively manage projects that may vary in nature and scope. Ability to mentor, coach, train and/or supervise employees. Ability to demonstrate effective customer relationship management skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting customer requirements and deadlines. Ability to apply skill sets and demonstrate proven experience developing, improving and streamlining processes to meet established goals and objectives. Knowledge of DOT regulations, hazardous materials, customs’ warehouse regulations and OSHA requirements. Knowledge of and ability to identify safety hazards and necessary safety precautions to establish a safe work environment. Knowledge of emergency communications and hazard response practices and procedures and protocols. Knowledge and understanding of warehouse practices, and inventory control techniques.

OTHER: Bilingual (Spanish/English) may be preferred.
