We are looking for high-judgment individuals to join us as a Merchant Risk Investigator to evaluate merchant accounts and safeguard Amazon's global marketplaces.

Role Requirements - Investigate suspicious merchant activity and behavior that could pose a risk to Amazon, our buyers, or merchants.
- Communicate via email and telephone with buyers plus other external and internal customers to make informed decisions about risk.
- Maintain Amazon's site quality by enforcing Amazon's Policy Guidelines.
- Be aware of and identify new fraud patterns and trends. Take appropriate action to identify and minimize the risk posed by such trends.
- Experienced in the internet space and capable of succeeding in a fast-paced team environment.
- Participate in other special projects/assignments as necessary.
- Work with all areas of the business to resolve issues affecting financial, legal and reputational risk.
- Achieve weekly productivity and quality standards for investigations.
- Participate in other special projects/assignments as necessary.
- Be prepared to be flexible with working hours and work Saturdays and/or Sundays.

- Confidentially handle customer information
- Protect customer trust through a high level decision making
- Identify fraudulent patterns that can negatively impact the organization and systematically escalate for impact reduction
- Investigate suspicious buyer activity and behaviors that could pose a risk to Amazon, our buyers, or merchants.
- Get involved into initiatives and projects when necessary.
- Achieve weekly productivity and quality standards for investigations.

A day in the life
The Fraud Prevention Investigator role is open for passionate candidates who can handle data with confidentiality and discretion. The position requires analyzing data to make informed decisions about accounts, balancing productivity with quality while considering the impact on the customer experience. Associates may need to interact with customers to gather relevant information. The department's targets may vary, but associates are expected to handle 80 to 100 cases per day. The role requires a mindset of change management to understand the benefits of any changes in the fast-paced environment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 6+ months of customer service experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English
- Bachelors Degree

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience and/or knowledge of fraud, risk management, data research, collections or banking
