The primary responsibility of this role is to perform various tasks related to localization of content available in the Amazon Prime Video catalog, under general supervision. This is a contract position for 11 months which may be extended basis business need.

Key job responsibilities
The day to day job requires the individual to make judgment-based decisions by following a standard operating procedure. This will involve tasks such as:
1. Localizing SDH/Subtitles and metadata synopsis from English to LATAM ES
2. Quality check subtitles/metadata assets for translation accuracy (idiomatic, spelling, grammar, punctuation)
3. Lead quality audits to benchmark localized content and perform corrections
4. Create or fix subtitle, metadata and ensure high quality localization of content
5. Provide inputs to update Prime Video's style guides to continue to raise the bar on customer experience

San Jose, CRI

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
- Experience with Excel
- Bachelor's degree or relevant exprience in Linguistics, Translation, English, or a related field.
- Advanced English Level (C1).
- 6+ Months experience in an English contact center environment or similar.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in localizing SDH subtitles and metadata for English-language content.
- Proficiency in English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Familiarity with subtitling software and tools.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and diverse team environment.
- Knowledge of different dialects and accents in English.
