Amazon's Finance Global Solutions (GFS) team is a fast-paced, team-focused, dynamic environment and delivering great experiences for our customers is top priority. GFS is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Engineer to support our LATAM BIE team.
We are seeking an experienced senior Business Intelligence Engineer PM to join our growing team. This person will collaborate with customers and other internal partners to refine the problem into specific deliverables. In addition to stakeholders, you may work with partner teams (business and technical) and Data Engineers/Data Scientists/BA/SDES/other BIEs to design and deliver the right solution. You communicate the findings from your deliverables to your customers in an appropriate manner. You would be a single-threaded owner responsible for the planning, execution, and delivery of straightforward projects related to an existing technology program or product and also apply project management best practices to make the team you work with more efficient.

Key job responsibilities
- Design, implement, and deploy high-quality BI solutions, solving complex problems independently or with your team while refining stakeholder requirements into functional designs.
- Develop a strategic vision for finance automation initiatives aligned with business objectives.
- Manage cross-functional projects from inception to completion, partnering with technical managers to secure resources, scope efforts, set priorities, and drive delivery to meet deadlines.
- Manage multiple concurrent automation projects across finance teams.
- Create and maintain program documentation including business requirements
- Own project status communication, providing clear and concise summaries to leadership, while also competently representing your team's systems to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Working directly with business teams to utilize metrics and analysis to determine improvement opportunities Tools used include: 1. SQL (Oracle and Redshift) 2. ETL tools (internal) 3. Asana 4. Excel 5. Python.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field
- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience using Agile project development framework
- Experience with managing large cross-functional projects
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and follows-through
- Exceptional written and verbal communication

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
- Experience in creating and managing complex, cross-team project plans; prior success in driving execution of large-scale project plans with multiple teams in support of business goals
- Successful track record of coordinating between multiple project stakeholders, technical program managers, and software development teams.
