Prime Video is a premium streaming service that offers customers a vast collection of TV shows and movies - all with the ease of finding what they love to watch in one place.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Language Specialist to join our team in the SJO19 Site - AFZ. In this role, you will be responsible responsible for reviewing language assets' logic and coherence, grammar and punctuation, spelling, consistency, style, language usage, and formatting, improving customer streaming experience with Amazon language solutions and process-centered approaches. Tasks may include, but are not limited to, proofreading and editing risk reports, engineering correspondence, and a variety of other written and electronic communications.

IMPORTANT: This is not a remote position, you are required to work on site. Open to Costa Rica applicant expected to work from the SJO19 Site in AFZ.

Key job responsibilities
Conduct Linguistic Quality Assurance check based on Multidimensional Quality Metrics - MQM on audio, subtitles, narratives, video, and artwork to ensure overall content quality.

Assist in the development and implementation of language-related technology/products to ensure consistency and quality of French language services.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand language requirements and provide tailored solutions to meet their needs.

Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in the field of language services, particularly related to the streaming and entertainment industry.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of language processes and workflows to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization's French language capabilities.

Provide guidance and training to other team members on French language-related matters, sharing your expertise and knowledge.

Basic Qualifications

- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
- Experience in a multi-language publishing environment, including globalization for translation
- Speak, write, and read fluently in French and English with respect to complex technical instructions and concepts
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, evaluate alternatives and develop processes and tools as needed to support the organization
- Experience completing complex tasks quickly with little to no guidance and react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience understanding needs of business and end customers and translating them into right solutions
- Experience in the entertainment industry, preferably within Podcasts or Music
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
- Experience with analytical tools and ability to dive deep into metrics and reporting
